Ayra Ali graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Biology on the pre-medical track and a minor in English. During her time in university, she was a research assistant under the GWU School of Medicine and Medical Faculty Associates. Her work was the recipient of the American Medical Association Giambalvo Fund for the Advancement of Women, and her paper was published in the Journal of Academic Medicine. Ayra currently serves as a medical assistant and quality assurance coordinator for Howard University’s Infection Disease Division. In this position, she assists with patient care and the management of the Ryan White Program grant for patients with HIV.
