Biography

Ana Marta Gonçalves (AMG) is an Assistant Professor at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, with a research background in Biology and Ecology. She completed her Degree in Biology in 2004 at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC), followed by an MSc in Ecology in 2006 at FCTUC, in collaboration with the University of Aveiro. She obtained her PhD in Biology, specializing in Ecology, from the University of Coimbra in 2011, in collaboration with Ghent University, Belgium. From 2016 to January 2025, she served as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research at the University of Coimbra (IIIUC), as well as on its specialized Scientific Council commissions. Her academic and professional experience reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, teaching, and scientific collaboration.
