Biography

Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, born in 1968. After graduating from Kyoto University, he was a visiting researcher at the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, a professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and other positions before assuming his current position. From 2012 to 2018, he served as an advisor to the Cabinet Secretariat of the Abe Cabinet. He specializes in public policy theory, including national land planning and economic policy. He has received numerous awards, including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award. He has written many books, including "The Disease Called Zero COVID," "How to Definitely Improve the Japanese Economy," "Prescription for a Mass Society," and "A Theory on Strengthening the Japanese Archipelago." He is active in speaking and writing on television, in newspapers, magazines, etc. He is a regular commentator on Tokyo MX TV's "Tokyo Honmamon Classroom," Asahi Broadcasting Corporation's "Seigi no Mikata," Kansai TV's "Hosoku Runner," KBS Kyoto's "Fujii Satoshi no Arigama Radio," and other programs. He has been the editor-in-chief of Expressionist Criterion since 2018.
